1. The Verbal Habit
The first inspiration was the distinct and ubiquitous verbal tick, "Absolutely," frequently used by Swedish professors and friends in daily conversation. This simple word became a humorous shorthand for the local communication style, which I captured in a series of lighthearted illustrations.

Swedish Cold & Absolut
The second, more visceral, moment of realization—"This is truly Sweden"—occurred when I saw a bottle of ABSOLUT Vodka placed directly in the deep snow outside, essentially using the natural environment as a perfect refrigerator.
This experience perfectly encapsulates the uniquely Swedish blend of efficiency, design, and extreme cold.
This saddle-stitched zine playfully unites these two observations: the pervasive, yet charming, verbal confirmation ("Absolutely") and the iconic Swedish product (ABSOLUT) cooled by the frigid climate. It serves as a humorous and warm visual memoir of Swedish life.
