Daily Fortune-telling Program Using P5.js
This project began with friends I met in Sweden who were interested in the Eastern philosophy of yin and yang and the five elements, and I wanted to help them interpret it in an easy-to-understand and fun way.
The database allows users to view their daily fortune, which changes 24 hours a day, based on their horoscope. Finally, you can also see objects to watch out for that day.
Design & Concept
The overall concept is the symbolic yin-yang and five elements. This platform makes it easy to understand your fortune.
The most important element in your fortune is your date of birth, which determines your fortune-telling results.
While some unfamiliar Chinese characters are displayed, hovering over them instantly reveals a summary of their meaning, making it easy to enjoy.
By combining traditional Korean patterns, each object was created as a generative AI image. The overall card image is a random object card that is modern yet beautifully expresses Korean aesthetics. The explanation below is written with the obvious intention of incorporating a bit of criticism, warning against 100% trust in fortune telling.
